8 Months Old and STILL on the Go!!!

Where to begin..........? CURT IS IN TO EVERYTHING!!!! 3 weeks ago he started crawling and I thought it was so cute, but now.......I think differently. Baby proofing the house is a must do now. I have already removed anything that is on his eye level. He is improved his crawling from moving around on the rug in the living room to following me into every room in the house. He is on the go all the time. Toys just don't do it for him anymore because he has to much to explore. He is trying to pull all the way up, but for now he just pulls up on his knees. I cannot believe how fast things move at the point. Let me see if I can come up with some of Curt's "new" things. He loves to jabber, but mostly says Babababa over and over. It sounds like he is saying Bye-Bye, but I am not 100% yet. He loves biter biscuits and eats the whole thing rather quickly. You can see this is the picture below in the highchair. Baby Einstein is mine and Curt's best friend. He loves watching the puppets and laughs out loud when he sees them. If Santa would have known Curt would love the door stoppers so much, he could have saved a lot of money this Christmas. They are his favorite thing to play with and also the most annoying thing he plays with. Curt also has a real best friend, and his name is Rowen. They go to Daycare together and love each other. Below is a picture of them watching Baby Einstein together. I love this age and I can't wait to see all the new things he is going to do this next month.

Getting into somthing I'm sure! Like the dog bowls :)

Quick Trip Home

Last weekend Lee FINALLY ventured back to Hamilton for the weekend. He had only been gone for 4 weeks, but it seemed like an eternity. Curt and I were very excited to spend some time with him. He came in late Friday night and had to leave Sunday morning. Lee was very anxious to see his baby boy, so they got a lot of bonding time in on Saturday. The morning started out with a early 4-wheeler ride in pj's and later with a family trip to the river. Curt loves riding the 4-wheeler and was very well behaved. He got to dip his feet into the Buttahatchee River for the first time. Overall, we had a great weekend and can't wait to see Daddy again. We will be meeting him in Memphis mother's day weekend for visit #2. Here are some pictures we managed to take over the weekend.

Here Comes Peter Cottontail

We had a wonderful Easter at home this year. Of course we really missed Lee and wish he could have been there with us. Curt dyed eggs and even attempted to eat them. We went to church with Nanny and Papaw and ate a wonderful lunch provided by Gram. Peter Cottontail even came to visit Curt. He brought lots of goodies like Curt's first bible, Pat the Bunny book, and a new shape toy. He even got some new toys and goodies from his grandparents.

Catch Me If You Can!

WOW! There is no way I could write and tell you all the things our little guy is doing. He is constantly doing something new and growing more and more each day. We have had lots of first this month starting with croup. This was a first for me and Curt. I had heard of croup, but didn't really know anyone who has had it. Bless his heart, he was coughing so bad that it would take his breath. We went to the Dr. and found out he had an ear infection to go along with it. So that makes 2 in 7 months. Well........... the only good thing about Curt having croup is that it made his hands and knees start moving in sync. YES, HE IS CRAWLING!!!! I can't believe my baby is mobile. I never expected him to do this so soon. After crawling, we discovered that his ear infection was not improving. We had to go back to the Dr. and get a shot and a new antibiotic. Hopefully we will get this cleared up and get well soon. We also have our second tooth. Thank the Lord!! I thought it would never break through. Life has been busy since Lee left. We had Marisa's baby shower for Anniston and several other trips home. Here are some WHAT NOT pictures from this month and our little crawling monkey.

Life as a Single Mom

Well....Lee left on March 21st at 5:00 a.m. Yes, I know this is weird, but I will never forget the day. He will be gone for 4 months and is in Fort Leonardwood, Missouri. He is doing great and adjusting well. I know he is really missing Curt and all the new things he is doing. We will get to see each other during this time so that makes it a little easier. I am adjusting to my new life style as a single mom and each day gets easier and easier. I have great friends and family that are taking very good care of me and Curt. We will be seeing him this weekend and I can't wait! Please remember to keep us in your prayers. This is hard for both me and Lee in different ways. I know the Lord is taking care of us.

We Went to the Beach and I'm Just Now Blogging About It!

I am very, very, very behind on blogging. So...I will not waste anymore time and get to the facts. Last month we took a much needed trip to the beach with Linda Kay and Katie. Last year we took this trip minus Lee and Curt (well he was kinda there) and thought it would be a great tradition to start each Spring Break. This time Lee got to join us and it was a great way to spend time with him before his journey to Missouri. We had a wonderful time and loved watching Curt experience his sights of the coast. He loved the beach and looking around at everything. The best part was watching him react to the high wind speeds. It looked like it was taking his breath away. All in all it was a great trip and we can't wait to go back next year.
