Let me begin by saying that putting out Christmas decorations this year was an experience. Having a 1 year old dig through the boxes and drag out everything before I could even collect my thoughts was a bit stressful. In all honesty, he really did great considering our house was turned upside down. However, I was exhausted by the end of the day and went to bed REALLY early.
Curt is funny with the tree. I didn't really know how he would be when it was all said and done and occupying a corner of "his" living room. Would he take ornaments off one-by-one? Would he pull the entire thing down? Perhaps he would try to unscrew light bulbs. Fortunately, he has been wonderful and loves "looking" at the ornaments on his level. Every time he would try to touch something we quickly responded with "no-no" "just look". Now he just points and leans in really close to "look" at the tree careful not to touch. He is so funny like that. Anyway, after the tree went up we wanted to take some pictures of him with some Christmas pajamas as a fun keepsake.
Later that night he kept crawling in Tank's bed pretending to be asleep. Of course he wouldn't lay there long enough for me to snap a good picture, but I did what I could do!!

Count Your Blessings....Name Them One By One
Since the Thanksgiving festivities have begun, I would like to write a post on some of the things I am thankful for this year. There is no way I could begin to count all the things I am thankful for one by one, but I can begin with a wonderful husband and a little boy who rocks my world. I am also thankful for wonderful family and friends that make our life full of joy. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving this year :) Here are some pictures of our little Turkey from the month of November.Happy Veterans Day Dad :)Tank and Curt Best FriendsThe night Curt got his first haircut. We really frizzed it out so you could tell a dramatic difference. So this is before......Uh Oh!! (Curt's favorite thing to say) Where did my hair go?Thanks Mom and Dad for my new haircut! I LOVE IT!!

Daycare Fall Festival
Tonight was Curt's first fall festival. Even though we didn't stay a long time we really had a good time. Curt loved having the freedom to walk around and RUN. I can't hardly keep up with him now. He got to wear his Halloween costume and see his daycare friends. We participated in the Cake Walk, duck pond, and the football toss. Let me just add that Lee and I discussed when we left how thankful we were to have Curt in such a great daycare. I have nothing but good things to say about Morningstar and all of their wonderful workers. We have been blessed with a great teachers that truly love our child. After the festivities we ate a "quick" but nice supper with Misty, Bobby, and Branson. Below are some pics I snapped tonight in between running around chasing our wild man. Happy Fall!!!

Fall and All It's Many Changes
Well....I am a bit behind on my blogging. I guess I can officially say Curt is in the 1 year old stage and life is busy. Curt is walking everywhere and into everything. He is changing so much each day and doing so many "new" things. Right now everything is Bye-Bye and he constantly wants to go outside. He will stand by the door, wave, and tell us Bye-Bye. I think he has watched Tank do this way to many times. His little personality is coming out and he is just a ball of energy. Here are some pictures from the past 2 months, mostly taken by Linda Kay because I really started slacking in my picture taking.

Oh, How Time Flies!!
Well...a year as come and gone. I cannot believe our baby boy is 1!! After the party last night (and Curt went to sleep) Lee and I stayed up and looked at pictures from the past year. So before I do a birthday party post, I wanted to share some pictures of Curt over the past 12 months.

Curt's Safari Ride
When I was pregnant I found this huge giraffe that I wanted for Curt's nursery. Luckily, Gram liked it too and wanted Curt to have it. Ever since we brought it home from the shower Lee has been itching for Curt to be old enough to ride it. Well....last night was the night Lee had been waiting for. Curt and Tank took their first ride. Curt still needed a little support, but really enjoyed it. Here is the proof.......

Daddy's Home Just in Time for 11 MONTHS!!!
Lee arrived late last night and Curt turned 11 months today. So much has happened these past few months. We are so happy to have Lee home!!! Curt was very surprised when he woke up this morning and saw his daddy. I must say, Tank was probably the most excited. He hasn't been able to stay to far away. He LOVES Lee!!! We've had a pretty boring and lazy day today. Sometimes it is nice to have those days so you can truly spend time with your family.
On another note......my baby is a month away from his 1st birthday!!! I cannot believe how fast this year has flown by. He is doing so many new things. We are completely off baby food. If you have been around Curt the past few weeks you know that he is a great eater. Table food is new best friend. He drinks out of his sippy cup all day and has 1 bottle at night. I cannot believe how easy that has been, since he LOVES his bottle. He is turning into such a big boy.

He is so close to walking he could taste it. He is letting go of furniture and reaching out for things like he is going to go get them. Dadadada is his favorite thing to say....of course. How is it that his Daddy leaves for 4 months and he says his name all the time and he refuses to say mine? He is saying more and more things all the time so I am sure Mama has to come out soon :) It won't be long before I am posting birthday pictures. I sure hope this last month drags on and on and on!! Here are some pictures of Curt watching his Daddy mow the yard this morning.
Dining Out in Missouri
This past weekend I ventured to Missouri for a long weekend with Lee, and yes......... I left Curt!! It wasn't easy, but was a much needed trip. Curt got to spend some good one on one time with his grandparents. We are very blessed to have parents that are so willing/eager to keep him.
Anna and I traveled together again and had a great road trip. Friday night was the ball/Dining out. It was a lot of fun to get dressed up. I haven't bought a dress like this since prom. We had a great time at the dinner. I enjoyed meeting all of Lee's new friends and their families. Saturday we took a mini-road trip to Lake of the Ozarks, which was great. We loved it so much that we decided we needed to take a family vacation there soon. Sunday was a lazy day followed with a small fishing trip. I definitely did a lot with the boys this weekend. Lee met some great guys and established some great friendships. I cannot believe this journey is over for the two of us. We are very excited to have "Daddy" back!!! Here is a picture of us at the dinner :)

4th of July Festivities!!
This past weekend we celebrated the 4th with a nice trip to Destin and a wedding. Actually, the wedding was in Destin and Lee was a groomsman. Katie was invited to babysit Curt while we enjoyed the festivities at night. It was so great to have Lee home for the weekend and celebrate at the beach. Just 16 more days and he is HOME FOR GOOD!! Curt and I are very excited!! Unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures at the wedding. Katie managed to snap a few of Curt one night eating a hair brush. The other pictures are of Master Curt eating his breakfast in bed. Katie prepared him a gourmet meal each morning and served it to him in her bed. He loved it!! I am going to go out on a limb and say he is SPOILED!! Enjoy :)

Good Bye June, Bring On July
What a crazy month this has been!! Obviously, since I haven't had time to blog. We have been on the go for several weeks now, and I can honestly say.......it is not slowing down!!! We started the month off with 9 month pictures, an ENT tube consult, and some professional development for school. Later that week mom had a conference in Orange Beach, and Dad and I decided to tag along. We had a great time and enjoyed some good food with a little pool time.
After a few days at the beach, we headed back to Hamilton where Curt and I stayed until his tube operation. Everything went GREAT with the tubes and hopefully we will be ear infection free for a long time!! Curt was such a little trooper and did better than I expected with everything.
The next day Anna and I loaded up and headed out west to Missouri. Yes, we drove there with a 2 year old and 10 month old in the car for 7 hours!!! The kids did great!! We had a wonderful week with our family and Lee had a great 1st father's day. On Sunday we drove up to St. Louis for the day to see the arch and we also went to the Anheuser-Busch Brewery. Anna and I found an awesome pool for us to take the babies everyday, so that helped occupy some time while the boys were in class. I definitely did not want to leave and come home, but Lee will be here for the 4th. Guess What? Only 20 more days and he is home for GOOD!!
July could possibly be crazier than June, so BRING IT!!!
Here are some pics from this month extravaganzas!
