WOW! What a month! So many things going on the last 2 weeks, I haven't had time to catch a breath. I will start with our 6 month pictures. Last Friday Curt and I ventured up to Hamilton to have his first professional pictures made. We are using Tim Roberts Photography in Sulligent AL. He and his wife did a wonderful job getting our little wild man to pose pretty. I was a little worried about how Curt would do, but he blew me out of the water. He had the best time laughing, cackling, and smiling real pretty for the camera. We started the session with Mommy/Baby pics. He was in the best mood for these. I had the best time playing with him while Tim and his wife took pictures. We finished with pictures of Curt "sitting up" and posing real pretty. I haven't got the proofs back yet and I am dying to see them :)
After the picture session, Lee drove up from Birmingham and we took our first trip away. Yes, you heard me correct. WE LEFT CURT FOR THE FIRST TIME! It was a bittersweet trip, but much needed. We went to Memphis for the weekend and had a great time. I didn't even cry :) You forget real quick after a baby how important it is to stop and spend time with your spouse. We enjoyed sleeping late and lounging around, but we were ready to get home Sunday and see our little man. I don't even think he knew we were gone. He is blessed with wonderful grandparents, who lovingly took him in for a couple of nights. I think Lee and I will do this again sooner than later.
Now for the good stuff! On Monday, I took Curt for his 6 month check-up. I cannot believe he is 6 months old. Where does the time go? Drum roll please........23 lbs and 30 in. long!!! He is a beast. The Dr. told me was the size of an average 1 year old. Curt was such a big boy at this appointment. He sat up on the table (while tearing the paper into shreads) and didn't cry one time while Dr. Goldblatt checked him out. However, after the 6 SHOTS, he cried for quite a while. Who wouldn't? Everything looks good and we will see Dr. Goldblatt again in 3 months. Tomorrow we are going home for a small "Going Away Party" for Lee. Hopefully I will take some pictures and get them up on Sunday. Have a great weekend :)
P.S. I totally forgot.....CURT CUT HIS FIRST TOOTH!!! It has been a rough battle, but it is here. He has had a very traumatic week, but he has taken it like a man :)

I Love To Make Noise!!
Curt is learning how to pick up his toys and make them move. For example, he picks something up and brings it to his face, puts it in his mouth, or throws it down. Last week we were eating supper at the table and Curt was playing with his toys in his new highchair when he discovered how loud he could be. He thought it was hilarious to beat his toys on the tray. Of course it didn't bother us either because we still think everything is funny and cute. I am sure that will end after a few more nights of beating toys :)

Gram Comes to Play!!!
Monday Gram came to stay the night with us. She loves to come play with baby Curt. He better get used to the fact that when Gram comes we have photo shoots. While she kept him today they went on a fun stroll through the neighborhood and stopped for some photos. Curt is really falling in love with Tank and can't keep his eyes of him. Of course Tank had to go on the stroll too and got caught in a few pictures. I wasn't here, but I think they had a real good time. Here are some of the pics she took today. Thanks Gram for babysitting :)
Curt's New Highchair
While Mom and Dad were here we ventured over to Babies R Us. FYI, don't go there on Saturdays!! I forgot how crowded it is. I decided to go with the 3-in-1 seat that buckles into the kitchen chairs. This saves a lot of room in our kitchen area. Curt loves sitting in there and looking around. These pictures were taken Sunday before Daddy came home and Monday nights squash eating. Don't let Curt's smile fool you. He hates squash! I hope he develops a love for it soon because I bought a lot of it :)
Nanny and Papaw Come to Town!!
Lee had guard drill in Anniston this past weekend, so Mom and Dad decided to come down and keep me company. Yeah right.....they came to see Curt not me. We had a good time doing some shopping and relaxing. We were playing with my new camera and decided to take a few pictures with baby Curt. He loves his grandparents!!!
